Happy May!
Week of May 14-18, 2012:

Handouts/worksheets recently distributed or TESTS/QUIZZES returned:
Monday in Class:
  • Students presented some of their travel blogs.  I asked for volunteers who wanted to show off their work, and we all enjoyed taking in some of the sights from the various imaginary iteneraries.
  • For the balance of the class we read chapter 5 in TGB.

Tuesday/Wednesday in Class (long period 1):
  • We will review for the vocabulary final and continue reading TGB.
Wednesday/Thursday in class (long period 2):
  • Vocabulary Final Exam 2012!  Students who are not taking the final need to bring a book or other work.
Friday in class:
  • We will continue reading TGB.
Miscellaneous Notes:

  • Any C, D or F on ANY TEST this year is eligible for CORRECTIONS, which will bring the grade up one full grade level and a minimum of 15 points!  It is, therefore, impossible to fail a test in English if you are willing to put in the effort!  Corrections must be made on a separate sheet of paper and must be signed by a parent.  They are always due at the end of the week the test is returned.

  • Homework due Monday 5/21: Read, relax, and get outside to frolic this weekend!
