Muggles Unite!

Stitch for a Cause recently co-sponsored a Louisville-area Charmed Knits Knit-A-Long!

The event took place on July 21, 2007 from 10-2 pm at Sophie's Fine Yarn Shoppe. Many knitters came out and knit Hogwarts House Hats for charity. Check out pictures on this Flickr photoset: Charmed Knits for Charity.

This event was part of a national knit-along sponsored by the publishers of Charmed Knits: Projects for Fans of Harry Potter to benefit Warm Woolies.

Warm Woolies is a non-profit organization whose volunteers knit warm clothing for poverty-stricken children who would otherwise suffer from cold. Their mission is to provide the very neediest children with wool sweaters, vests, hats, mittens, and slippers.

We have finished our work on this project and are in the process of mailing off the hats we have collected. Thanks to everyone that contributed to this fun and worthwhile project!
