She taught four years at Memorial Parkway Junior High in Katy, TX, before moving out of the country. The next two years she taught eighth grade English and sixth grade math and science at the Escuela Americana in San Salvador, El Salvador. Her next move was to Santiago, Chile, where she taught sixth grade at Nido de Aguilas for four years. She spent a half year teaching seventh and eighth grade English at the Pingry School in New Jersey before she landed here in Louisville at Kentucky Country Day. Here she is currently in her tenth year teaching language arts/English in the middle school. When not teaching, Dee Anna is active in traveling, cycling, and hiking. She usually finds a way to travel outside the country at least once a year. While here at KCD, her trips have included Japan, England, France, Venezuela, Chile, and The Netherlands.
