The Process
- To begin,
read some of the fables that Aesop wrote and list what is in common in
all of his fables. Then complete the chart with
four of your favorites. Please use the link below!Aesop's
Fables
- Next,
gather some interesting facts about Aesop. In your own
words, write some important facts on a Word document. You should
include
information
on where and when he lived, his family background, and
education. Save this document as "Notes on Aesop." You
will use these notes to create a short biography about him. http://www.2020site.org/aesop/aesop.html
- You
will need to choose one of the fables to recreate in your own adaptation
in the present time. Fill out the prewriting
handout before
you begin drafting your tale. It must be approved and initialed
by your teacher before you begin drafting.
- Write your
first draft of the fable. Proofread!
- Share it
with a partner/teacher/parent to see if all the guidelines are met
and if it is grammatically correct.
Revise draft.
- Type
the final draft using a normal black font (such as Times), size
12, & double-spaced.
Include your full heading (full name, date, and
class). It should be no more than one full typed page.
- Illustrate
the fable with at least three color drawings. (you may have more if
desired)
- Create
a Power Point presentation of the fable.
